Summer Sizzler was a huge success!
Held July 7-10 in Kansas City, Summer Sizzler, the iModules User Conference, brought together over 200 attendees from approximately 125 organizations. Encompass users enjoyed a unique opportunity to share, network, and learn. The three days were jam-packed with presentations, discussions, hands-on help, and special events.

Keynote Presentations
Justine Lam, e-Campaign Director for Ron Paul
Justine Lam, recognized by Fortune as a fundraising dynamo, led the lineup of presenters at this year’s Summer Sizzler. Directing Ron Paul’s e-campaign efforts, Justine built an extensive Web presence encouraging viral communication, promoting social networking, and using several Web 2.0 tools such as MySpace, Facebook, You-Tube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more. In her keynote presentation, Justine shared her insight and experience using the power of the Web to bring in record-setting donations, including the Ron Paul campaign’s December 16th’s donations of $6 million, the largest amount of money raised in one day by any candidate to date.
David Perlmutter, author and professor, University of Kansas
David Perlmutter, author and professor at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of Kansas, was recently featured on The Daily Show discussing his new book Blogwars: The New Political Battleground. Blogwars explores the use of blogging in political campaigns. During his keynote presentation, attendees gained insight to the parallels between using blogging for political communication and campaigns and using blogging for their organization’s communication and campaigns.
Andrew Shaindlin, Executive Director, Caltech Alumni Association
Andrew Shaindlin, Executive Director, Caltech Alumni Association, speaker and author of the www.alumnifutures.com blog helped attendees answer the question, "how will we engage and build affinity with alumni in the future?" And not just when it comes to younger alumni as they get older, but also boomers entering retirement in even bigger numbers. He gave a few final thoughts on what attendees could start doing to get ready for that future.
