Sue Seemani

Dear ##First Name##:

Sue Seemani is like any incoming freshman at St. Teresa's Academy. She's intelligent, motivated, service-minded and looking for an opportunity to realize her full academic potential. Thanks to the generous contributions of STA alumni, Sue has found that opportunity.

This spring, she was chosen the first student in STA's 140-year history to be awarded a full tuition endowed scholarship, the combined gift of 1956 alum Sheila Geddes and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

Your gift to the Expanding Universes endowment campaign will provide more opportunities to more deserving young women like Sue.

She was born in Lusaka, Zambia, where she attended a private school run by her grandmother. Six years ago, Sue moved to the United States to join her mother who had already immigrated and settled in Kansas City. In May, she graduated from St. Elizabeth's grade school with top honors.

Students like Sue epitomize the purpose of Expanding Universes: to attract academically accelerated young women, maintain the school's valuable diversity, and assist those students in financial need.

So what makes a contribution to the Expanding Universes endowment a great complement to your annual STA gift? Simple. It specifically helps students who would not otherwise have the opportunities and experiences unique to STA. As alumni, only you know what a gift that truly is.

Our goal is to build the school's current endowment of $3 million to $10 million by 2010. We'll get there only through the gracious financial contributions - however large or small - from people like you, who hold STA close to your heart.

You don't have to be around Sue Seemani long before you know that someday this special young woman will make us all very proud. Please pave the way for others like her by donating today.
