Michelle Gadsden-Williams
currently serves as Vice President and Global Head of
Diversity & Inclusion at Novartis Pharma A.G. In this
role, she provides strategic direction and leadership and
champions the development of an inclusive environment by
integrating diversity into all aspects of the business on a
global scale. An exemplary role model, Gadsden-Williams works
tirelessly at refining processes, policies and programs that

Jacklyn Kimberlin Cutting '58 Speaks at Undergraduate
Commencement Ceremony
 Jacklyn Kimberlin Cutting '58 addressed a sea of
graduates and families at Kean University's 2008 Undergraduate
Commencement Ceremony. As the chosen representative of the
Newark State Teachers College Class of 1958, she encouraged
the University's newest alumni to carry on their pride and
loyalty. She and her former classmates were the first to
graduate from the Union, N.J. campus, and they had just
returned to Kean in May for their 50th class reunion. Read

Alumni
 The Kean University Alumni Association
and President Dawood Farahi honored five distinguished alums
at a dinner and reception held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, in
the beautifully renovated Downs Hall banquet center. The
honorees were celebrated for their outstanding achievements
and service to society, their community and their profession.
Candidates for this award are outstanding practitioners in
their respective fields; serve as role models; are an
inspiration to others; and are recognized by their peers for

The Kean University
Alumni Association and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
wish to thank those alumni who helped recruit new students to
their alma mater for the 2008-2009 academic year. Like many
involved alumni, these volunteers are forever linked to the
University. Alumni are key components in the process of
sustaining Kean University's mission and legacy, and there are
many ways for former Kean students from all decades to
participate. 
Last October, the Kean University Alumni
Association launched new programs aimed at enhancing the
connections between alumni. Consisting of three career network
events, along with new online tools, the Kean Career Network
has formally and successfully taken shape.
