Q: What should I wear to Summer Sizzler 2010?
A:
You will see all kinds of different attire at the conference -- from branded polo shirts with jeans to business suits. Business casual is appropriate for the daytime conference and all night activities.
Q: How do I get from the airport to the Intercontinental Hotel?
A:
The Intercontinental Hotel is located approximately 25 miles south of the Kansas City International Airport on the Country Club Plaza. During high peak traffic times, allow a 45 minute drive time between the hotel and the airport. We recommend taxi service.
Q: Where can I get more information about the Intercontinental Hotel?
A:
Visit www.kansascityic.com for hotel location, checkout time, parking, and other general hotel information. Or, you may call the hotel at (816) 756-1500.
Q: What do I do when I get to the Intercontinental Hotel on Monday?
A:
Conference registration will begin at 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on the Rooftop level of the Intercontinental Hotel. The welcome reception Monday night is from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and is also located on the Rooftop level of the hotel.
Q:Do I need to bring a laptop?
A:
You will need your laptop if you would like to discuss your site one-on-one with an iModules staff member in the Idea Lounge.
Q: Will I have access to a computer if I don't bring my laptop?
A:
The hotel provides a business center with computer access. For more information, you can visit www.kansascityic.com or call the hotel at (816) 756-1500. Please note: if you plan on visiting Sizzler’s Idea Lounge for one-on-one consultation during the conference, then you will need to bring your laptop if you want to access your site.
Q: Is there a fee for Internet usage?
A:
The rooms at the hotel have Internet access for $12 per day. In the conference area we will have some wi-fi connections available.
Q: What is the Idea Lounge? Do I need to make an appointment?
A:
No appointment necessary! The Idea Lounge is open two to four hours each day of the conference in the Foyer. It offers you one-on-one consulting with iModules staff. Assistance from Trainers, Application Support, and Account Managers is available every day. In addition, Tuesday features Design help and Wednesday features Data assistance. You'll need to bring a laptop if you want to have access to your site.
Q: Where can I find descriptions of each of the sessions available at the conference?
A:
You will receive a booklet at the conference with everything you need to know about Summer Sizzler 2010. As more information becomes available, you can find it on the Schedule page.
Q: What are the evening activities?
A:
Monday night, a welcome reception will be held on the Rooftop level of the Intercontinental Hotel from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Wednesday evening, iModules will be hosting a BBQ & Blues dinner.
Q: Are all the evening activities included in the cost of registration?
A:
Pretty much! Two drinks per person and hors d'oeuvres will be provided at the Monday night reception (cash bar also available). There is no cost for the BBQ Wednesday night.
Q: What if I have special dietary needs?
A:
If you indicated your needs on the Sizzler Preference survey, we are doing our best to accommodate you.
Q: Is there a guide for restaurants and attractions near the hotel?
A:
The Intercontinental Hotel has dining in the Oak Room and Oak Bar. In addition, the hotel is located near the Country Club Plaza, where there are several restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance or a small cab fare away. A guide to the Plaza is included in your registration packet. It includes a map and dining guide.
