Hosted Design

You've heard all the buzzwords like "Software as a Service (SaaS)" and "Application Service Provider (ASP)" and  "web-based software" or "hosted solutions." Our product is essentially all of these and to you it simply means you access our product through your internet browser. We maintain, regularly update and backup the software and your data on our servers. This is a huge convenience for you that greatly decreases the overall costs for managing your online communities.

This sort of design has been used for decades by major enterprise software products and is essentially the foundation of how we use the internet today - searching with Google included. And this design also has the added advantage that administrators can access our product from nearly anyplace they have an internet connection and from mostly whatever type of computer they might use.

For those more technical, we designed our product to be flexible and secure. Early in development we chose to separate the presentation, database and back-end code base to make it possible to support highly customized solutions for each client. This layered design allows each of our clients to present their own brand and design to their users supported by a customized schema and administrator-defined queries. Each client has a dedicated catalog for their data which insulates content between customers. Our product is built with Microsoft® .NET technology running on Microsoft® SQL 2000 database servers.

We have redundant, secure hosting sites with firewall protection, intrusion detection systems, SSL encryption along with a variety of other security technologies and measures monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
